Carntyne Vehicle Dismantlers

Carntyne Vehicle Dismantlers is a family owned business that has been breaking vehicles for over 25 years. It is an approved DVLA end-of-life treatment facility and is registered with SEPA. The company has stopped supplying used car parts. Its main service is scrapping cars. It offers free scrap car collection within a 25-mile radius of Glasgow.

It handles all paperwork, including the Certificate of Destruction (COD). It strips every part from vehicles to separate plastic from metal for re-use. It accepts cars in any condition, including MOT failures and write-offs. It pays by BACS transfer. It offers evening and weekend collections.

Carntyne Vehicle Dismantlers is described by customers as a straightforward option for scrapping an unwanted car in Glasgow. More than one review highlights how simple the whole process is, from the first telephone conversation through to collection and payment, with the necessary DVLA paperwork handled on the spot. Customers in several reviews describe the driver, Paul, as helpful, courteous and willing to explain what needed to be done, including the V5C/3 section and the handover of keys. Punctuality comes up often, with vehicles collected at the agreed time and payment transferred promptly, in some cases within an hour and in others by the next working day.

Something that features in review after review is the lack of haggling or inspection, which customers contrast favourably with drawn-out dealings elsewhere, and the price paid is described as fair for a car of little value. The service is also noted for easing the stress of disposing of a vehicle, with one reviewer returning for a second car and describing both collections as consistent. The work covered is scrap car collection and dismantling, with end-of-life vehicles taken away and settled by bank transfer.
