SP Recovery is a small family run business based in Belfast. The owner is Steve Porter, who has been in the recovery business for just over 25 years. The team includes his wife Christina Porter and their three children. SP Recovery has three drivers based across Belfast. The business began in 1995 with the purchase of its first truck.
By 2010, SP Recovery had secured contracts transporting vehicles for local garages, dealerships and mechanics. Over the last five years, SP Recovery has completed more than 3000 breakdown jobs. The recovery fleet handles vehicles up to a maximum weight of five tonnes. SP Recovery has connections to other firms with larger capacities nationwide. It provides breakdown recovery for cars, vans and light commercials.

Great service from start to finish. Good price and responsive on the phone. Arranged a pick up and drop off with jump start required, without being present, and all went smoothly and on time. Would definitely book again!
Huge thanks to Steven with SP Recovery for such a great experience! He was a fantastic guy who took his time to take my car to the garage, and we had a really insightful conversation along the way. Steven was very friendly, and even offered to drop me off near my home, which was incredibly kind. Highly recommended. One phone call was all it took for the guys to get me sorted. I even got a courtesy phone call to let me know the driver was on his way, so I didn't feel like I was being left stranded, and the price was very competitive.
Contacted Stephen today re breakdown. Very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Gave great advice and we were able to manoeuvre home. Didn't actually need to use him in the end but would not hesitate to in the future if needed, i have saved his number. Many thanks Stephen.
Great service. Gave them a call from the website when we broke down and they were able to give us a quote and a rough estimated pick up time. They showed up within 30mins and Steve the driver couldn't be nicer. Really friendly and helpful.
Stephen is an absolute gentleman. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Stephen. He recovered my car straight away and even brought me to an excellent mechanic who got me back on the road same day. Great service and very reasonable price.
After a tyre blew on the motorway at 11:40am, I googled belfast recovery, saw the 5 🌟 reviews and Stephen was there in 15 minutes. He gave my son a bottle of water, got us to Tyres4you and we were driving again by 1:15. Decent price from a genuine service man. He's on speed dial just in case now. Thank you!
