We Buy Any Scrap is a family-run business established in 2006, with over 15 years' experience in the metal industry. It began with one site in East Calder and later purchased another in Loanhead, Midlothian. The company covers Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Scottish Borders. It is a fully licensed scrap metal merchant, vehicle dismantler, waste carrier, second-hand dealer and authorised treatment facility. Its main licence was granted by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), and it is also licensed by West Lothian Council and Midlothian Council to hold and carry various types of scrap metal.

It holds a second-hand dealer's licence from the local authority and a full Waste Carriers Licence approved by SEPA. Across its two sites, it offers four services: buying all types of scrap metal, all end-of-life vehicles, quality used car parts, and new and used tyres supplied and fitted.
