Scrap car collection · Coventry

How much does Scrap car collection cost in Coventry? (2026 price guide)

Most scrap car collection services are free, with the value of the vehicle paid based on its weight and condition, typically ranging from £100-£300 for an average family car and up to £500-£800 or more for larger or newer scrap vehicles. Non-runners generally attract lower prices than cars that still drive.

The amount offered depends on current scrap metal prices, the car's weight, make and model, whether it has a valid MOT history, and how far the collection point is from the nearest authorised treatment facility. Vehicles missing major components like the engine or catalytic converter are usually valued lower.

Getting quotes from a few authorised treatment facilities, rather than accepting the first offer, often results in a noticeably better price for the same vehicle.
